The Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at Xiamen University has partnered with Thailand’s Thammasat University and Indonesia’s Gadjah Mada University to launch a film restoration initiative. This project, akin to IIAS’s Bangkok Field Station , aims to digitize rare 20th-century Southeast Asian films. A workshop on "Analog-to-Digital Conversion Techniques" will be held on June 1, 2025, led by archival experts from the SEAMEO Congress 6.
