The International Institute of Film Science and Arts (IIFSA) and Krirk University in Thailand recently signed a Memorandum of Academic Cooperation, announcing the establishment of the IIFSA Film Culture Research Center.
This strategic cooperation will integrate the advantages of both parties in film and television technology research, talent cultivation, and international resource cooperation, focusing on in-depth cooperation in cutting-edge technology fields such as digital film and television production, artificial intelligence driven creation, virtual production, immersive film and television experience, and committed to building an international platform that integrates academic research, technology development, and industrial application. According to the memorandum, both parties will jointly build an integrated platform for industry university research, promote innovation in film and television technology through joint research projects, and focus on tackling emerging fields such as AI film and television creation, virtual production, and augmented reality (XR) technology. In terms of talent cultivation, a joint undergraduate, master's, and doctoral training program will be established to carry out academic exchanges, short-term training, and industry practice activities, cultivating compound talents who possess both technological literacy and artistic creativity. At the same time, the research center will actively promote the transformation of scientific research achievements, cooperate with global film and television enterprises, and promote the deep integration of technological innovation and market application. The representative of the International Institute of Film Science and Arts stated that this collaboration will fully leverage IIFSA's international resources and research advantages in the field of film and television technology, and jointly explore the development direction of future film and television technology with Glee University.
